When choosing a surgeon, there is a lot of surgeon information for you to find out, and you may not know what questions to ask.  This surgeon information should help you find the right surgeon for you.

Your doctor, physician, or insurance company may be able to make some recommendations for you or refer you to an experienced specialist.

Do some research on his or her background.  Surgeon information to find out about includes certifications, accreditations, and membership to the American College of Surgeons.

Contact the State Board of Medicine and ask if he or she has any outstanding malpractice charges.
